Requirements
Server side requirements:
Hardware:
- 32-bit Intel-86 (IA32) architecture server with processor
frequency of 500 MHz or higher; dual-processor server with processors' frequency
of 2GHz or better recommended
- Minimum free hard drive space 50 MB; 10 GB recommended.
- Minimum RAM 128 MB; 2 GB recommended.
The server hardware requirements will dramatically depend on the size of the
database and the number of users simultaneously accessing the records.
Software:
- 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system (with the latest
fixes and service packs installed); Microsoft Windows 2000 or later recommended
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or later (with the latest fixes and
service packs installed)
Client side requirements:
Hardware:
- 32-bit Intel-86 (IA32) architecture desktop/notebook,
recommended Pentium 4 with processor frequency of 2GHz or better
- Minimum free hard drive space 10 MB; 2 GB recommended.
- Minimum RAM 128 MB; 512 MB recommended.
- Black and white Laser Printer, 600 dpi or higher, for
printing reports and barcode labels on letter size paper.
- Black and white Barcode Printer, for printing barcode
labels
on a roll.
- Barcode reader/scanner.
Software:
- 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system (with the latest fixes and
service packs installed), preferably Microsoft Windows XP Professional or later
- Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.x, preferably version 2.8
with MDAC Security Patch MS04-003 (32-bit)
- Microsoft Office 95 or later (with the latest fixes and service packs
installed) for Word and Excel reports; Microsoft Office 2003 or later
recommended
- XML library v. 3.0 or later (comes with installation files)
- Crystal Reports Viewer (comes with installation files)
